Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American journalist. She currently works as working as a sportscaster at ESPN who is also an anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. The first time she worked for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. Since she was nine, Collins's ability to communicate in two languages helped her get a job in Miami as a production assistant for Univision. As an assistant producer she was able to be a part of national show producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Her next job was as reporter for sports at CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, the news reporter relocated into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Reporters covered issues related to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking across both Texas and Mexico. Anchor duties for weather or sports were regularly requested. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate, where she was able to take on more responsibility. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was host of the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was advertised as a sports anchor to Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The same role she was employed by Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports program). Antonietta's parents are originally of Veracruz Mexico. The family were moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She is the elder sibling of her parents. In 1992 the family left Mexico to the US and settled in Miami. Soon after, her parents separated and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo got married again. He died from kidney cancer in 2006. On a family vacation in Ohio, the young Collins took a place alongside her elder sister. Antonietta still a senior at high school, yet she had a clear idea of the path she wanted. While deciding if Mount Union is the right choice to her needs, Antonietta decided to go visit the campus. The campus was a dream for her. The university also provided her with the major that she desired. Following her graduation from high school, she decided to go to the university with a major in Media Studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was student in her class, formed an ongoing friendship with the student. Mark Bergmann inspired her to be self-confident and also his love for journalism deeply affected her, and she determined to meet the expectations of him and not fail him.
